Sumeet moved to Omaha from San Francisco in 2011 to co-found Big Wheel Brigade - a web development company focused on doing good while doing well. Recently he also co-founded Omaha Code School - an intensive 12-week web class, where he will be the lead instructor. His advice to students of design is to be problem solvers.

Kristen joined June in 2008 as a graphic designer and has since moved up the creative ranks to senior art director, working on such clients as ConAgra Foods, Upstream Brewing Company, CSG International and many more. A travel enthusiast, she and her husband Chris recently returned from a 10-day stint in Paris. The gardens of Versailles—and the daily croissants—were her favorite.

Chris has worked as a designer for Clark Creative Group, Eleven 19 and Hayneedle before recently joining DAAKE as a Senior Creative. He has worked with such clients as Cox Communications, Children’s Hospital, and First National Bank. Chris also moonlights as an adjunct instructor with Metropolitan Community College. In his free time, Chris is into travel, food, and Legos.

Jonathan Gredy is responsible for implementing and sustaining the Lean Management Systems within the Retail Distribution business unit at TD Ameritrade which include their service and sales contact centers, distributed branch network, strategy and operations teams, investor education group, and product teams.

Jon has 10 years of experience at TD Ameritrade. He started in New Account Sales then moved into a broker role placing trades for clients and assisting them with their service needs.

Tracy Munoz is a Nebraska native who spent thirteen years in Dallas before realizing that nothing compares to “The Good Life”. She worked in media sales for Clear Channel before jumping to the agency side and landing at Archrival, where she spent six and a half years as Media Director. In January 2011, she landed at the minnow PROJECT as Vice President of Operations.

If Tracy had her wish, she’d ban high heels and teach the world the groove.

Mary Kate recently brought her 12 years of practical advertising experience to Nebraska Children and Families Foundation, where she’s working with a variety of hard-to-reach audiences on hard-to-communicate topics. An award-winning copywriter, she has spent the last decade creating strategic, innovative marketing campaigns for TD Ameritrade, Lincoln Benefit Life, First National Bank of Omaha, the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Chief Automotive and more.

Michael Johnson, somehow, despite his best efforts, has been in the advertising industry for almost a decade. He is currently Senior Copywriter at Bozell, a historic firm with a long legacy of employing extremely handsome writers. Right now, Michael is serving time as President of the American Advertising Federation of Omaha, probably as punishment for submitting copy rife with passive voice. College kids and public speaking are two of his biggest fears; he might not show up.

Miranda Bouck is a designer for the brand strategy and design studio Grain & Mortar. She is also the Director of The Show for the Nebraska chapter of AIGA. She became involved in the community by first taking on a job shadow at Grain & Mortar over two years ago and that changed everything! From there her love of working within the community expanded into BarCamp, one of the biggest events in the design community each year.

Prior to his current position, Tre was a private practice attorney in Omaha for 20 years focusing on the areas of corporate/transactional law and estate planning. In 2008, Tre and three other people created the Maha Music Festival, which will return for its sixth year on August 16, 2014. He tweets on occasion (@trebrashear).

Marty joined Bailey Lauerman as a freelance designer in 1997 and is now the VP/Creative Director.

Much of Marty’s success is owed to his transformation of world-renowned brands. He led creative development for ConAgra’s “Food You Love” campaign. He was behind the thinking on Union Pacific’s original “Building America” rebranding efforts, as well as the company’s recent “You’ll Find Us” multichannel campaign. And he’s created wicked smart campaigns for Disney, AMC Theatres and just about everything in between.

After a short stint in corporate America, Dusty joined forces with Kevin Zink and start Brightmix. Thus was born Dusty’s passion for finding other startup-minded companies and individuals in and around Omaha. Teaming up with Jeff Slobotski on Silicon Prairie News allowed Dusty to connect some of the truly innovative companies and individuals around him.

Dusty is also a co-founder of HeyFlywheel and Tripleseat, as well as a co-organizer of Bar Camp.

Tom is a child of the 80s who moved to KC in 2008 for an opportunity at Barkley. He believes in delivering the right idea at the right time. No excuses. As a writer, his work for American Airlines earned a Cannes Lion and a Gold Effy. His writing credits also include a Super Bowl commercial for Nationwide Insurance that generated $23 million in free publicity before it aired.

Armin is co-founder of UnderConsideration, a graphic design firm and publishing enterprise all rolled into one. While he has written for most of the well-known trade publications, he is better known for his writing on the blogs that make up the UnderConsideration online network, as well as from the books he has co-authored with his wife and partner, Bryony Gomez-Palacio. Through UnderConsideration’s Department of Design he designs corporate identities, books and web sites for a few clients.
